Happy Easter everybody!!! Hope you all got lots of lovely eggs if you celebrate Easter. This week has been pretty non-eventful (quell surprise) BUT I did find The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, and may have watched all 100 videos in two days!!! I have a very addictive personality, and a lot of work I'm trying to avoid. I'm also going to watch the Lydia videos too. I seriously recommend you watching it, whether you have read Pride and Prejudice or not.

It's that time of the month again, and I thought I'd try filming my favourites this month. Please let me know if you prefer this format or would rather I just went back to writing them, or if you are fed up of the amount of monthly faves post there are, let me know that too.

Video: Things I Don't Understand
There is a lot about this life that confuse me. So I thought I'd share with you a video about said things. I thought it may be interesting to upload random videos like this on my channel occasionally as I found it rather fun to film, and hopefully you'll find it entertaining to watch.
What do you find hard to understand? Do you like this kind of video?

Top Three Cleansers
There's nothing I love more than coming home after a long tiring day of being me and taking off my make-up. Because of that I thought I'd share with you my top cleansers.
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - sadly, at time of print (hohoho) I'm out of this cleanser. I used to use this as my morning cleanser and it really allowed my skin to wake up and got rid of the dirt and grime from a nights sleep.
Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm: I love this baby. This is my second pot. It's slightly heavy and rich, but still works well with my oily skin. It leaves my skin smooth and make-up free, and smells lovely. It also comes with rosehip exfoliating seeds which are lovely.
REN No1 Purity Cleansing Balm: This works in pretty much the same vain as the Emma Hardie. It's slightly lighter and has a really strong scent which I find lingers in my bathroom. It doesn't bother me, nor effect my skin, but it is something you may want to keep in miind.
What's your favourite cleanser?

Video: Spring Inspired Look
So, I'm sure I've moaned about it enough, but the weather is seriously lacking right now. Spring officially began last week and we are yet to see it. So I thought I'd try and entice it out of hiding with this spring inspired look. No I want to repeat 'again' this is not a tutorial!!!
Have you dug out your spring faves yet?

Review: Bare Minerals Foundation
I'm sure I've babbled on about my love for mineral foundation a lot. I thought it was time I gave you a full review of the Bare Minerals foundation I've been loving at the moment.
Packaging is ok. Nothing revolutionary, but can be a little messy.
Colour wise, it's a perfect match, and the coverage is low, but buildable.
For a powder foundation, it doesn't leave me looking cakey nor overly powdered, and even has a slight glow to it.
It lasts ok, it's not brilliant, but I'm yet to find something that is. This is around 6-7 hours wear here.
So overall, if you want a light foundation that allows your skin to breathe, this is your guy.
Have you tried this? What do you think?

Video: Top Higher End Products
In the week I uploaded a video about my top highstreet products, here, so I thought today I'd share my favourite higher end products.
Some of them carry a hype, some are just ones I enjoy using. If you are considering getting any, please do further research, as what works for me, may not work for you.

Throwback Thursday: Rimmel Santa Rose
Today's Throwback Thursday is all about this little blush from Rimmel. It created a little stir last summer, and with good reason.
It's a lovely peachy toned bush, with the tiniest hint of shimmer in the pan, but goes on pretty matte. In summer it really aids a tan, and just gives a lovely wash of colour to the cheeks.
Simple, natural, but effective. What more do you want from a blush?
What do you think?

Video: What's In My Bag?
Ah, the video done by almost everybody, the What's in my Bag' video. I thought I'd have a stab at doing one, it's not very long, and I don't carry anything particularly interesting, but I still thought you may enjoy watching it.
I do realise that I've uploaded quite a few videos in a short space of time, but that won't always be the way. I just want to have a few on my channel, as it looks empty with just two haha.
Just in case the video doesn't show - here is the link :)
Hope you enjoy, and leave me a comment with a link to yours :)

A Work FOTD
I've started doing a day a week work experience at a Social Media company, and in my true vain way, I thought I'd share with you the make-up I decided to wear, as I've never really had to have a 'work' face. Now I've tried a few different looks, 'cause nothing ever seems to last on my face.
My first week I tried using the DR Jart BB cream as a base and then applied the Bare Minerals foundation over the top, but that didn't really work.
My first week I tried using the DR Jart BB cream as a base and then applied the Bare Minerals foundation over the top, but that didn't really work.
The week after I had a go at mixing my two 'long wear' foundations Estee Lauder Double Wear Light and Diors' Forever. But again, that didn't really last well. I don't have a photo of it 'cause it was dark that morning.
So I've now decided that if products aren't going to last, I'm just going to carry on with my Bare Minerals foundation and hope that my being light on my skin, it will start to clear up, so it won't matter that my make up fades.
Base:
Bare Minerals Original Foundation
Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer
Estee Lauder D/W Concealer
Eyes:
MAC Brun - Brows
Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tatto - Permanent Taupe
MAC Mystery // Carbon
Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara
Cheeks:
Nars Laguna
The Balm Cabana Boy

Video: Top Highstreet Products
First of all, thank you so much for the support behind my first YouTube video (here.) I thought I'd upload another one, this time beauty related, about my top drugstore/highstreet products.
Again, it's not perfect quality, and the good old British weather played a nice lighting job, but hopefully you can see past that.
For some reason it's not coming up as a video, so click this link :)
I'd love to know your top product too.

What I Wore this Week
So this week, the most important thing has got to be, that I've started a YouTube Channel!!!! Gasp, shock, horror! If you want to see it, it's here! There is only one video up at the moment, but I've filmed some others ready to go live in the week, so I hope you enjoy them. I actually had a lot of fun filming them, I still need to get better at editing etc, but babysteps.
I've also learnt this week that I need to shop in different places.

Wednesday: All Topshop
Thursday: Top & Skirt: New Look // Shoes: Asda
Friday: Top: Asda // Jeans: Dorothy Perkins // Shoes: Converse

Something a Little Different
It appears that a lot of people are moving over to the big wide world of Youtube, and always one to jump on a bandwagon, albeit a long time after the wagon got moving, I thought I'd give it a go too. I mean, I'm only in the most important months of my university career, so what better time to try something new eh?
Obviously I'm not very skilled at editing etc. I don't have the money for a fancy smancy camera, nor decent editing software, so this is very much a rookie video, but I hope you enjoy it, and it brings a wee smile to your face.
If you don't like it, well, just click the little x, yeah?
But at the end of the day, my brother thought it was funny, so yeah.
Hope you enjoy.

Fashion Friday: Stop Trying to Make Winter Happen
It's already happened!!!
In case you can't tell, the weather is having a serious BF (bitch fit, for those of you who haven't watched White Chicks.) I went shopping at the weekend and got a blouse I thought was gorgeous for summer, but I've realized I'm going to have to make it work for this swinter we are having right now.
The top is from New Look and it reminded me of some crockery my nan had, and I love it.
Of course I would prefer to be wearing it like this:
So please hurry up summer.

What's in my Handbag Make-up Bag
In case the brief and subtle title of this post didn't give it away, this post is about the Make-up I carry around in my handbag. (Bet you're glad I cleared that up.)
First up, lets start with the bag. I was kindly sent it from Japonesque yonks ago (real time frame,) and it has been very handy, I'm not going to lie.
Sorry for the dodgy picture, but I wanted to show you the inside, It has a nice little compartment and a zip so I keep the feminine products hidden too. For a small bag it can get quite large and holds a lot of junk, which is just what I like.
Make-up wise I like to keep things that I wouldn't be heart broken about losing, their ain't no Chanel in there, lets put it that way. I also like to make sure I have enough to make a face up if I need to.

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder
Collection Lasting Perfection Concelaer
Clinque High Impact Mascara (magazine freebie)
Topshop Blush in Head Over Heels
Carmex Lip Balm
I also have a boy scout mentality of always be prepared, so carry a few extras too.
Compeed Blister Plasters
Dry Shampoo
Vitamin E Face Mist
Parcetemol
So I hope this post has been truly insightful.
What junk do you carry around?

Review: Topshop Glow
I put this guy in my February favourites post, and didn't go into too much detail as I knew I wanted to do a review on it. I first saw it on a shopping trip with Rachel, but it was a Saturday, and I didn't fancy standing in a long queue just to get this, so I waited until it was a bit less busy, and went back to get it. Boy am I glad I did.
It comes in a little pot, much like the MAC Paint Pots, which does mean it's a little difficult to get out, but you can deal with it. Consistency wise, it's like nothing I've ever seen (we ain't in Kansas no mo' Toto.) It reminds me of a very thick creamy moisturiser It's not like any 'cream' highlighter I've ever used before. It's pretty much in a league of its own.
Colourwise I would say it's a champagne-y pearlesque kind of colour (helpful right?) But it blends out to nothing really, so I can see it working for most skin tones.
I'm currently obsessed with mineral/powder foundations at the moment, so I like to apply this product before putting it on, as I find that if I apply it over the top of powder products it moves the powder and doesn't work as well. I like to apply it along the tops of my cheekbones and also under the eye to really brighten my under eyes. I was a bit worried about using it under the powder, but this little guy shines through.
This is it applied the way I mentioned before, and I wish I was able to get a picture of it used on top of a liquid foundation/BB cream, because oh my goodness gracious, it looks incredible, and I know I'll love it for summer.
This product is just a must have for anybody that loves a healthy glow, and I'll eat my metaphorical hat if you dislike it.
Have you used this product? What do you think?
Apologies for the long rambly post.
Laura xoxo

Adding Some Colour
The other day I was feeling a bit rubbish. You know the drill, tired, miserable, a severe case of CBA. To make myself feel a bit better, I thought I'd add a bit of colour to my usual look, and it did cheer me up a little.
On my lips is a Rimmel number in Coral Queen. I don't usually put colours on my lids as I always worry about it, but I thought, what the heck, a bit of coral could almost convince me it was summer. I then added my loved Nars multiple in Portofino on the cheeks, and MAC's wedge all across my lid.
I would also like to take a moment to say how excited I am that my eyebrows are finally getting to a place where I am happy with them. Yay me!
Do you do stuff like this to cheer yourself up?

Throwback Thursday: The Balm Cabana Boy
I was looking back through old posts the other day, and remembered just how much I used to love this blush, so dug it out, and now it's looking all pretty in my basket again, and our love has been re-kindled.
My favourite way to describe this is as 'raspberry' toned. It has a slight shimmer to it and for me personally, needs a light hand.
It can be easily over done, but when used lightly gives the perfect warm glow to your face.
What do you think?

Simple and Subtle FOTD
Do you ever get that occasion when you have plans with someone, and when making said plans you can't decide what you want to do, so you say you'll decide at the time? This was me on Saturday. The choice was either take-away or go out for dinner, so I had to find a make-up look that would suit both. I say 'had to' what I mean is 'chose to,' obviously, for anyone who isn't a beauty obsessive, it wouldn't matter, but at the same time if you weren't interested in make-up, I think you'd be in the wrong place here. So I still feel I warrant this post. Anyway, I decided to go for quite simple make-up, but with a subtle, I've made an effort if we were to go out. So I thought today I'd share that look with you. You're welcome.
Base:
Bare Minerals Original Foundation -
I chose this for it's lighter coverage and ability to let the skin breathe. I find it stops me looking 'over done' too.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer
Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer
Eyes:
MAC Powersurge Eye Pencil -
Used all over the lid as a shadow, and under the lower lashline. It gives a really subtle colour to the eyes, I then set it with,
MAC Patina
MAC Carbon -
Subtle lash definition
Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara
Max Factor Hazel Brow Pencil -
My subtlest brow colour
Cheeks:
Topshop Glow
Nars Laguna
Rimmel Santa Rose
Lips:
Revlon Berry Smoothie - Lightly applied
So that was my subtle, for both occasions look.
What are your subtle but still there favourites? If that even exists?

Inspired By...
After receiving such lovely feedback from my last post (here) I thought it was about time I did another one.
The Jacket:
This was completely inspired by how gorgeous Shen looked in her post when she was wearing it. I just love the grey fleck style and for £16 from Asda I just couldn't say no.
The Lipstick: MAC Brick - O - La
I was desperate to get this after seeing Estee wearing it one of her videos. It looked so lovely on her, and I really like it. It is an amplified finish which I love (not that I have any other type, but I can still call it my favourite right?) It reminds me of a muted/more daytime friendly Doubennet, which we all know I love.
