Review: Dr Jart+ Recover Primer
It is no secret that I have fallen in love with the Dr Jart+ Water Fuse BB cream, and when Boots was having a money off offer on their skincare I picked up this primer. When I pumped this on my hand it felt so smooth and soft and knew I had to try it. I primer is something I'm definitely on the hunt for.
Whilst feeling smooth on my skin, it doesn't work that well under my make-up unfortunately. As I mainly use a powder foundation, I found that it collects on top of this and just does not blend into my skin very well. I then tried using it with a liquid foundation and whilst it blended in better, as soon as I powdered it went cakey and patchy, again.
So if you don't use powder products, then I would say give this a go, but unfortunately it is not working out for me.
Have you tried this? What do you think?

Porefesional - Worth the Hype?
If you read my post yesterday, then you will know that, although I think the Porfessional from Benefit is good, it is just not worth the money. I also said that I found something that I think works just as well, and thought I'd share this post with you today, as I didn't really wear anything worth showing you this week, and many of you said that you would like to see this post.
Now, I don't know if this sounds stupid, now that I'm showing you, but I find this much more cost effective than the Porefessional, so thought what the heck!
At the same time as purchasing the Porefessional for my Worth the Hype post, I also bought the much spoke about Collection (2000) Lasting Perfection concealer. Now, for spots, this really did not blow me away at all, and I hated it for under the eyes. But I refused to give up on it. I remember reading or hearing somewhere, that is is great for filling in pores, so one morning, before applying foundation I patted it into the pores around my nose and it filled them perfectly.
Collection + Primer // Porefessional
I did this on top of concealer, then one morning thought, I wonder what would happen if I mixed the two together, and lo and behold, it made the same sort of paste as the Porefessional. It is slightly thicker, but the idea is still the same. I think any primer/concealer formula would work the same. I like mixing it on my hand and applying it with the Real Techniques (surprise, surprise) Foundation Brush from The Core Collection.
(These aren't the best pictures, but you get the idea. I couldn't find the right light to really capture it)
So I'm not necessarily against the Porefessional, but just don't find it worth the money, and definitely think this is much better.
What do you think? Am I mental, or have I found a winner?

MUA Primer
I'm sure you are all perfectly aware of the brand MUA. They're taking over the blogesphere with their good quality, yet uber cheap prices. Bank accounts everywhere are rejoicing and our make-up collections are growing.
I have here their eye primer, I think it cost £2.50 and thought it worth a try. I firstly thought this would be good to even out the colour on my lids, which it is, and just use on it's own, which didn't really work as it creased too quickly unfortunately.
Here is what it looks like on its own. A very neutral colour, that just blends out the colour in my eyes. It has a slight sticky and tacky consistency, which I'm guessing helps keep the eye shadow on.
Here is my make-up freshly applied in the morning. It applies with ease over the top of the primer and looks as it would without.
And here is how my make-up lasted over the day. I know the lighting's different, but it pretty much stayed in place over the day. The darker outside colour has faded slightly and so has the liner, but the main lid colour has stayed in place, and no creasing has occurred.
This is around 8 hours wear, so pretty impressive. I think it is definitely a useful tool to have, and will be extra useful in summer when my lids will probably be oilier than they already are.
I'm definitely impressed with this product, and now want to try their face primer too.
Have you tried this product? What do you think?
