Review: Good Things Manuka Honey Creamy Cleanser and Mask

I feel like this Good Things Manuka Honey range has been getting quite a lot of attention lately and was high on my list of to try items. I've been using these products for just over a month now so thought I'd give you my opinions on them.

Manuka Honey Creamy Cleanser - I really like this cleanser. It has a really nice thickness to it and lathers (not in a stripping foamy way) really nicely on the skin. After I've finished using this my skin feels so soft and nourished after. It comes out as a thick white almost cream that spreads across the skin and has a really nice Royal Jelly smell. which I personally love. I find it's great both morning and evening, meaning it's a good all round cleanser.

Manuka Honey Radiance Mask - This product is a little harder to review. Part of me really likes this product, it feels nice on the skin, but it doesn't deliver the results I was expecting. I was hoping it would make my skin feel glowy and hydrated, but instead I feel that it just brings my blemishes to the surface. Maybe I'll be converted, but at the moment I'm a bit on the fence.

Have you tried either of these?

Review: Elemental Herbology Oil Control Facial Detox Purifying Facial Mask

So when I was in London my face kind of erupted. It could be down to a number of things, bad eating, not enough water, without my regular skincare, change in water or the pollution. Whatever the reason, it wasn't pretty.

Toward the end of my trip I found myself in Space NK with more money than I anticiapted having as I couldn't find things I wanted to buy and decided to treat myself to a face mask, and this was the one I chose.

Full of good stuff ready and armed to tackle my blemishes this mask aims to purify the skin by drawing out impurities and soothing the skin, and I must say, it does just that.

From the first use my skin felt a lot calmer, and by the next day blemishes were reduced. I now use it weekly, usually on a Sunday when I like to do a triple mask pamper session.

If you suffer from a lot of breakouts, this is definitely a product I recommend you checking out!

What do you think?

As always, a picture with the mask on. You're welcome!

Hydration Heroes

Although I'm quite an oily person, I definitely think that a good boost of moisture can do wonders for my skin. What many fail to realise is that their skin is probably dehydrated, and in need of some moisture, so today, I'm sharing with you my faves. (You're welcome!)

The Instant Fix - If you're lacking time and your skin is parched, slap on a layer of the Super Facialist by Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask. You only need to leave it on for about five-ten minutes for an intense moisture boost and a leaving of your face going 'ahhhhhh!'

The Overnight Fix - If you need something a bit more intense and a bit more luxurious, then the Origins Overnight Drink-up Intensive Mask should be your go to. Aside from the fact this spells delicious, it leaves your skin plumped and full of life. (Imagine you just eaten something really salty, you're dying of first, and down a bottle of water. This product is the water!)

The Lock In - Moisture levels, like any level go up and down dependent on many factors, and Hydraluron keeps them maintained. Popped on underneath your moisturiser, it locks in any of the moisture particles and boost your moisture levels in your skin. Definitely a product you don't realise is working till you stop using it.

I just want to leave all you other oily skinned peeps (I'm like a granny using the word 'funky' aren't I) I had to bring the Origins High-Potency Night - A - Mins moisturizer to your attention. Perfectly light, blemish fighting, and smells amazing.

What are your hydration heroes?

Review: No7 Purity Mask

I picked this up quite a while ago to replace my Origins clay mask when it ran out. I've now been using it for about a month, and I really like it. So much so that it made its way into my June Faves.

It heats on contact with the skin and contains little beads that help to gently exfoliate away dead skin cells. After massaging it on you leave it for a couple of minutes and bask in the lovely oaty scent (flapjacks anyone?) then rinse it off. Skin is left feeling really soft and thoroughly cleansed.

I couldn't resit.

I really like this product, and with the constant throwing away of No7 vouchers that Boots likes to do, it's pretty affordable too.

Have you tried this? What do you think?

Top Three Masks

I've always had a soft spot for face masks, but now that I've really gotten into skincare I find myself applying one two-three times a week. Today I thought I'd share with you my top three that I really rate.

Super Facialist by Une Brennan - Intense Moisture Mask - This is quite a recent purchase for me but it has already been given the Laura Love status (that's a thing, yes!) and I think it is a great product. You put it on for five minutes and instantly gives you an intense blast of moisture. It's one of those things that does what it says on the tube.

Intensive Moisture Mask - James Brown London - This is my favourite hair mask of all time. What I love about it is that you can just put it on ten minutes before a shower and still reap all the benefits of the overnight masks I have.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask - I've stopped using this overnight now, just because I have an array of other products to use. However, I love this for mornings where I'm not going out, or evenings after a shower when it's too early for my full evening regime and it just adds the moisture back into your skin.

What are your favoruite masks?
