Three free sites I used to update my blog

I'm never truly 100% happy with how my blog looks, but I think that's probably just a girl thing with never being happy with what we have and thinking everyone is 10000x better (which they so are.) But hey, today I thought I'd show you how I've made myself feel a bit better about my old blog.

Now, I know I could pay someone to do my blog up for me and make it proper profesh looking and shiz, but I don't want to spend money on a hobby, when I buy make-up and skincare etc. 'cause of said hobby. It's the reason I haven't bought a domain or anything too. I just don't see the point in spending the money on it. So, if you're like me and want to do things for free, yourself, I hope this helps.

1) Canva - My new blog header, social media buttons and little side explanation type thing (I know...) where all made, by me in Canva. I like to think of it as an online photoshop that everyone can use. Sone elements have prices, but I just stick to the free stuff 'cause I'm a cheapskate. If I was super creative I could do so so so much on this site, but for now I'm content with creating headers and a few images for posts etc. I just feel like it makes things look a lot more clean than if I were using, say Paint.

2) I Can Build A Blog - I found this site really useful for teaching HTML codes and lots of little tips and tweaks. My plan is to fully sit down and comb through this blog and keep tweaking my blog as I go, but for a few tips and tricks along the way I found it really helpful.

3) Blogger - Silly as it sounds, whilst Blogger is more restricting than Wordpress control wise, I still found I could give my blog a little make-over just using the tools Blogger provides in its template/layout section. Who'd have thought aye?

  1. Blogger is so easy! I started over there and loved it but I absolutely love Wordpress since changing :)

  2. Thank you for sharing this! I have wanted to make tweaks to my blog for quite some time, but I wanted to avoid paying someone and I wanted to do it myself. I can't wait to give Canva a try.
