Review: Topshop Glow

I put this guy in my February favourites post, and didn't go into too much detail as I knew I wanted to do a review on it. I first saw it on a shopping trip with Rachel, but it was a Saturday, and I didn't fancy standing in a long queue just to get this, so I waited until it was a bit less busy, and went back to get it. Boy am I glad I did.

It comes in a little pot, much like the MAC Paint Pots, which does mean it's a little difficult to get out, but you can deal with it. Consistency wise, it's like nothing I've ever seen (we ain't in Kansas no mo' Toto.) It reminds me of a very thick creamy moisturiser  It's not like any 'cream' highlighter I've ever used before. It's pretty much in a league of its own.

Colourwise I would say it's a champagne-y pearlesque kind of colour (helpful right?) But it blends out to nothing really, so I can see it working for most skin tones.

I'm currently obsessed with mineral/powder foundations at the moment, so I like to apply this product before putting it on, as I find that if I apply it over the top of powder products it moves the powder and doesn't work as well. I like to apply it along the tops of my cheekbones and also under the eye to really brighten my under eyes.  I was a bit worried about using it under the powder, but this little guy shines through.

This is it applied the way I mentioned before, and I wish I was able to get a picture of it used on top of a liquid foundation/BB cream, because oh my goodness gracious, it looks incredible, and I know I'll love it for summer.

This product is just a must have for anybody that loves a healthy glow, and I'll eat my metaphorical hat if you dislike it.

Have you used this product? What do you think?

Apologies for the long rambly post.

Laura xoxo

  1. I did see this at the Sydney Topshop store and I was tempted, but it was a little pricey ($20 I think?). I'll have to revisit it next time after reading your 'glowing' review ;) (excuse the terrible pun LOL)
