Review: Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint

Early last week I ordered a Cleanse and Polish (which I am loving and will update on soon,) and when it arrived a couple of free things came with it, which made me very happy. One of the things was four samples of the Sheer Skin Tint in all the different shades they do. Which I think they need to do more of, so more people can use it, but hey ho!

It also came with an almost painting catalouge type thing, (you know what I mean) to help you match up with your colour, and as I'm only slightly tanned,  I went for the lightest colour,  which is Beige.

(Nothing//Just Skin Tint)

The consistency of this product is not what I expected, it is a lot thicker, pretty much foundationy, whereas I was expecting it to be on the more moisturiser side, but, I like it all the same. It was quite thick, but bendable, and it didn't feel heavy on my face.

As you can see, it has a pretty light/medium coverage, most of my redness was covered and only the massive spot I had was on show, so that was pretty pleasing.

The colour match was good, but I don't feel like I could get away with it in Winter which is a shame, as I really like it.

I was expecting an overly dewy finish, but it was almost matte, I don't know whether this was because I used a mattifying moisturiser? But I really like the finish of it.

This is my full face of my make-up, and not to toot my own trumpet, I really think it looks good. (Not my actual face, but the skin tint.)

And this is how it looked after around 8/9 hours! Pretty good. It had gone from my nose but after that, it lasted pretty well.

Overall, I really like this product, and unless you are slightly casper-esque I think it would be great, they do need more colours though.

You can get this from the Liz Earle website for £21

Have you tried this? What do you think?

For reference:
I have oily/dehyrated skin, with blemishes, scaring and redness.

  1. I got some samples of this with my latest order as well and I've fallen in love with it (to the point that I'm rationing the sample until my full sized one arrives!) It looks lovely on you - you look really glowy :)

  2. It looks really nice on you. I got this as the freebie in the skincare essentials kit they do, I'm not much of a foundation person so this is ideal for me cos it gives enough coverage for me to feel like I can go outside without scaring people haha! x

  3. It looks really nice on you, it went a bit weird and patchy on me for some reason. And I'd say £21 is a bit steep, but then again, I would ;) it seems to really suit you though :) xxxx

  4. I hate the skin tint, was so heavy & greasy on my skin, plus full of parabens, not for me at all. Glad someone enjoys it lol :)

  5. I think the coverage looks really good, even after all of those hours of wear and I would never have guessed it had gone from your nose without it being pointed out. Great review and love how you've taken pictures over time to show how it all works. Great post!
