Guys Don't Make Passes, at Girls Who Wear Glasses!

I think I've mentioned/gone on and on about the fact that I've got new glasses. I've had to wear them for a while now, though 'cause I'm only short sighted, only wore them when I had too. Now that my eyes have worsened, I feel like I should wear them more often. This meant getting glasses I love and I've also been looking into different make-up to wear with them.

MAC Naked Lunch
MAC Handwritten
Loreal Super Liner
George Eyeliner Pencil
Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara

Here is the look on it's own:

I place Naked Lunch all over my lid, the ran Handwritten across the upper and lower lash line, and also blended it out into my crease.

For my post, I've shown how the look can be worn with different styles of glasses too.

First Pair of Glasses (random from Opticians, v. old):

Second Pair of glasses (Oasis, couple of years old):

Final pair (Ray Bans, current):
(Sorry about the reflective glare!)

A few tips I'e picked up is to focus on the lash lines rather than taking the make-up up and out, or around the crease. I've started to focus a lot on the underneath of my eye, which takes a while to get used to in the day time, but I'm starting to like it.

A few more tips can be found here, here and here

A couple of other works I think would were are this one, and this:

What are your tips for wearing make-up with glasses?

P.s Totally don't agree with the title of this post, but it sounded better than 'Glasses' haha.

  1. I wear glasses on days i want to have a break from contact lenses and i totally agree about the lash line thing

i wear winged wyeliner pretty much everyday so its fairly noticeable, but sometimes a little pop of colour on the lower lashline looks really nice :)

  3. I love the Ray Bans, they are so flattering and perfectly shaped for your face :) You look so cute in them! The makeup goes really well with the black frames as well, the heavier definition of the lower lashline isn't obvious at all but it balances with the darker frames :)

  4. I think the title is correct though, without deliberately sounding full of myself I get loads more attention when I have contacts in than glasse on! But never mind.
You look gorgeous in yours! And I agree about the make up, I rely more on mascara and eyeliner with glasses on :) xxxx

  7. I wish I could pull off those Ray Bans as well as you! I only used to wear my glasses during intense study sessions and whilst as uni but I would love to wear them more often if I didn't look so silly with them.

I love the look you came up with...really simple but lovely! And I love the title of your post! Felt like I had to read it straight away! :)

  8. I am a HUGE fan of the dark plastic lens-type frames! My last two pairs of glasses have both had thick plastic lenses. I always have no idea what to do with my makeup when I wear my glasses because I find that it all gets lost behind them. I feel like i might be able to get away with a little more than I would normally wear...but then I worry about magnifying everything too much as well...hahha sorry for not being of any help!

  9. awwwww I wish I could wear glasses like those!! I have a small face (apparently!) and have to go for small frames :( also wish I didnt have to wear them sometimes, if i've done some eye makeup thats really nice I feel like my glasses hide that! :( great post though, thank you :D :D

  10. Eyebrows and focus on the lower lash, be it mascara or color. Cause especially for the final frame the upper eye lid appears to be hidden... even for me so while I do put color I put more effort on the lower eyes.
