The Body Shop - Vitamin C Microdermabrasion

So this is another item I got from The Body Shop's 3 for 2 on skin care deal. I decided on this because my skin has been very, for lack of a better word, bleugh. So I decided it needed a good old scrub and a bit of TLC.

You are meant to use this product no more than twice a week, I use it on a Sunday as that's my kind of pamper day. It is basically meant to 'improve skin tone' and is aimed at dull skin.

Now the smell of this product isn't my thing, I was expecting it to smell rather zesty and orangey which I love from skincare products, but it actually smells rather dull, which is kind of ironic.

The beads in this are so much finer than those you would find in usual exfoliaters, however once you start your circular motions going, you can really feel the little mites working their socks off. So treat with care, or else I fear you may have no skin left (I joke, but I presume it would hurt, a lot.)

After I've used this, I cleanse, tone and moisturize as normal. I can't say I've noticed a difference in brighter skin, but my skin is definitely smoother and has calmed down quite a lot since. I don't think I'd re-purchase it again, as I like trying out new products, but I think it's a product worth giving a go.

Have you tried this? What do you think?

  1. I think my sister tried this and didn't find much difference to her skin, didn't do any harm though, so I agree it's probably worth a try :) xxxx

  7. I've tried it before loved it like you did initially.

And I completely understand the whole, not being able to stick to a product because its really difficult for us with a blog to review to stick to one when we have to try other products out.

But you should be sorta glad you didn't stick with this product because I did for a while and personally what I found was that the effect starts to diminish as the skin gets used to it. So good for a temporary effect, but not so good long run. BUT that's my opinion (in case anyone who liked it disagrees with me >_> )
