Call of Beauty: Modern Haircare #3

After reading/listening to Gemsaquillage talk and post on hair oils, I decided that although I love how Moroccan oil makes my hair feel, I didn't realise it wasn't actually doing anything for my hair, except making it easier to style, and smoothing it. Where, may I ask, was that in the add campaign? I feel that, although it does make my hair look and feel soft, if it's not nourishing my hair, I would rather find a cheaper alternative. Enter John Frieda Full Repair Perfect Ends Deep Infusion.

This was on offer in Asda for £4, and as they whole collection is getting such good reviews in the online blogesphere, I pressumed I had nothing to loose.

This product (I don't know what to class it as, oil or serum? It's quite watery/oil based?) claims to feel 'like it instantly absorbs into worn-torn strangs, instead of simply coating the surface. Weightlessly repairs the look and feel of damage to lengths and ends, leaving hair smooth, shiny and full of body. Helps protect against breakage from heat styling.' Sounds good to me, so how did it do?

The consistency of this product leans more towards a more water based one than oily. However, one pump covers all the ends of my hair, and I can feel it sinking rather than coating, which I'm guessing is good? It helps me comb my hair out easily, and my ends are still looking as hydrated

So does it beat my Moroccan oil? Well, yes. I prefer the consistency and smell of Moroccan oil, but this does the the same, if not better, and is less than half the price. I'm sorry Moroccan oil, you will always have a place in my heart, but right now, this is a much better product for me. Also I love that it comes with a pump.

So there you have it. Have you tired any products from this range? What do you think about what Gemma has to say? I think it's definite food for thought.
