Fashion Friday

I was inspired to write this post from reading Anna's blog, where she wrote about a pair of Zara heels she had purchased, which she said were just impracticable for day time, but so pretty. You can read the post here.
Anyway, this got me thinking about the ridiculous amount of heels I own, that hardly get worn due to their impracticability, yet are so pretty.

This first pair are from Tesco, and I actually haven't worn them yet, and I got them this time last year, it's shame full. I love them, I think they're absolutely gorgeous, but they have no platform, so kill after a couple of minutes, and I look like a pregnant duck when I walk in them. But they'reee soo pretty! They look nice when I just put them together with outfits though, I'm not the only one who does that right?

I got these in New Look in the sale last summer, and I love them, but the one night I wore them I got very drunk and kind of fell over in them, so I'm scared to wear them again. But I love them, and think they're a great pair to have in my collection!

I saw these in New Look in September, fell in love, bought them in a mad rush of air to the head (we all get that right?) and wore them on one night out, and am yet to wear them again. They are very high, and I'm 5 7" as it is, all my friends being 5 4" so, I probably shouldn't of got them, but boy they're so pretty!

Ah, these guys are made by Barrettes, but I got them from Dotty P's. I wore them in a recent OTN, and kind of fell in them and hurt my foot, so have not had chance to wear them again, but I do love them. I had lusted after them for a while, and then they went on sale and ended up in a shopping bag.

Do you have heels you bought 'cause they're pretty, yet don't wear them?

Face and Outfit from Saturday Night

If you read my What I Wore this Week post Sunday, you will know that on Saturday night we all ended up going out and celebrating my friends birthday, which ensued with me drinking slightly too much, feeling hungover, sorry for myself, and deciding I'm pretty much over drinking.

Also as I love seeing what other people wear I thought I'd share my outfit and my make-up.

Top: New Look
Skirt: New Look
Shoes: Barretts from Dorothy Perkins

I borrowed this top from my friend, and I really like it, it's lovely and flowy and hides a multitude of sins (mainly, the lovely thing we call back fat!) I wear this skirt practically every time I go out, it's so versatile. This was the first time I'd worn these shoes and they were surprisingly comfy, until I accidentlly tilted to the side in the walking to the taxi and have killed my foot!

I promise my cheeks weren't actually that red and I wasn't that shiny!

On my face I decided to go for a golden smokey eye, I usually just do a brown one, but hey, you only live once! I also decided to add a flush of colour to my cheeks using MAC's Frankly Scarlett (review to come) and then a nice nude lip.I love this lipstick as it's glossy too, so I only need to take that out.

Fashion Friday

It's finally Friday again, I can hear you all cheering. I hope I gave you some interesting blogs to read last week, and I am now back with a bit of a haul type of post.

Since I said I would try hard not to buy make-up, I've ended up buying more clothes, 'cause I apparently have a inability to not spend money, but I thought I would share my new purchases with you, 'cause I'm nice like that!

Top - Warehouse - Was £28 now £15
Shorts - New Look
Leggings - Topshop
Shoes- Missguided

I got this top from Warehouse this week as it was in the sale. I really like stripes and think the shoulder detailing is really lovely. It can be worn with jeans, leggings, skirts etc. I think it is a great versatile top.

Top - Warehouse - Was £28 now £15
Vest - George at Asda
Jeans - Primark
Shoes - Missguided

Another Warehouse sale item, I love the contrast in materials and it's thin enough to be worn in summer as well as winter. (Sorry for the bad pictures!)

Top - Topshop - £12
Shorts: George at Asda
Blazer - H&M
Scarf - Gift
Shoes - Primark
Jumper - Topshop

I really love simple vests, and this Topshop one is great. I love how the collar can appear through tops, and I love the way its quite floaty. The arm and button detailing also wins me over!

Jumper - Topshop - £36
Top - Topshop
Shorts - George at Asda
Shoes - River Island
Jacket - Miss Selfridge
Vest - H&M
Leggings - Topshop
Boots - New Look

I would normally squirm at the price of this jumper, I only actually took it into the changing room to try on with something else, but loved it so much I had to get it. It really doesn't photograph well, but a gorgeous oversized jumper which again can be summer and winter wear.

Blazer - New Look - £22.99
Dress - Dorothy Perkins
Shoes - Primark
Vest - H&M
Leggings - Topshop
Boots - New Look

You may remember another Fashion Friday post where I mentioned blazers, well I saw this in New Look that weekend, and feel a teeny bit in love. I'm slightly gutted that you can get one similar in primark for cheaper, but I love this blazer. A gorgeous pop of colour for the coming months.

I got 10% discount on all of these items 'cause I'm student, but I think they are all well priced (bar the jumper) and I love adding to my wardrobe, and can't wait for summer!

Have you bought any new items lately?

Happy Friday :)

Laura xoxo

P.s I couldn't not address the fact that I have now reach over 100 followers, Thank You So Much! It make me so happy to know people read, and comment, so thank you again! Enjoy your weekend :)
