Fashion Fave: Nike New Balance 420 Trainers

Me, posting about trainers? I'm scaring myself. Now before you start thinking I've truly changed, I didn't get these for fitness purposes. For a long time I've always wanted some burgundy converse, however even though converse are comfy they can hurt after a while. These make me feel like I'm walking on air though. I love them. They really are the comfiest shoes ever.

I picked them up from ASOS for £54 (student discount) and they are the best purchase I've made all year. Whilst I realise I sound like a 50 year old woman, I'm loving wearing comfortable shoes.

Have you got a pair of these? What do you think?

Throwback Thursday: Cat Shoes

A bit of a random Throwback Thursday, but last year I saw these shoes on a blog, fell in love and the next day they were mine.

I'm not the biggest 'shoe' person, I'm more of a boots and sandals kind of girls, but I love these shoes so much.

What do you think?

P.S They're from Missguided but I don't know if they still do them.

Fashion Friday - Sparkle With Every Step

I spotted these beautiful boots, when shopping with a friend, however they didn't have my size. Then when I was in Bristol I struck lucky and managed to nab a pair.

The heel is hardly anything which makes them super comfortable, but still gives you a little lift.

I just love the sparkly detail on the back, I think it is perfect for this time of year.

I just had to share them with you, and you can pick them up from New Look for £24!

What do you think?

Fashion Friday: A Few of my Favourite Things

In case the title of this post didn't give it away, today's Fashion Friday is about the items I am loving at the moment. It is sort of my take on the Most Worn Tag going around on Youtube.

I would never have gotten these Zara heels if I hadn't started blogging, and I love them. I get so many compliments on them, and they are surprisingly comfortable. I think I paid £30 for them, and I've definitely got my moneys worth on them. I plan my outfits around them now too. It is love.

I feel a bit bad putting this in here, as you can't get it in the UK, but I picked it up last year whilst I was in New Zealand, and I love it. I've worn it quite a lot, especially this summer. I like that you can dress it down for dinner, or up for a night out. The colour is also something that made me gravitate towards it.

If you read my What I Wore this Week Posts you will know that I have worn this scarf to death. I just think it is the perfect summer scarf. It is so bright and colourful and really brightens any outfit.

I got this dress last year and never wore it, but I re-found it this year, and I love it. I really love the cardigan with it too. Both have become really big favourites of mine, well duh, otherwise they wouldn't be in this post, but you know what I mean. I love the bat wing on the cardigan, and the soft-ness of the dress, and think the colours work so well together.

I've already done a post on this wonderful George at Asda skirt. I still luuurve it!

What have been your favourite things? Have you done a post like this? I would love to see it.

Happy Friday,

Laura xoxo

P.S Sorry for the shoddy photography, the cutting the head out of my photos, and the reflective glare of my glasses. I'm learning.

Fashion Friday

I was inspired to write this post from reading Anna's blog, where she wrote about a pair of Zara heels she had purchased, which she said were just impracticable for day time, but so pretty. You can read the post here.
Anyway, this got me thinking about the ridiculous amount of heels I own, that hardly get worn due to their impracticability, yet are so pretty.

This first pair are from Tesco, and I actually haven't worn them yet, and I got them this time last year, it's shame full. I love them, I think they're absolutely gorgeous, but they have no platform, so kill after a couple of minutes, and I look like a pregnant duck when I walk in them. But they'reee soo pretty! They look nice when I just put them together with outfits though, I'm not the only one who does that right?

I got these in New Look in the sale last summer, and I love them, but the one night I wore them I got very drunk and kind of fell over in them, so I'm scared to wear them again. But I love them, and think they're a great pair to have in my collection!

I saw these in New Look in September, fell in love, bought them in a mad rush of air to the head (we all get that right?) and wore them on one night out, and am yet to wear them again. They are very high, and I'm 5 7" as it is, all my friends being 5 4" so, I probably shouldn't of got them, but boy they're so pretty!

Ah, these guys are made by Barrettes, but I got them from Dotty P's. I wore them in a recent OTN, and kind of fell in them and hurt my foot, so have not had chance to wear them again, but I do love them. I had lusted after them for a while, and then they went on sale and ended up in a shopping bag.

Do you have heels you bought 'cause they're pretty, yet don't wear them?

Fashion Friday - Spring Trilogy #1

I don't know about you, but in Winter I live in three things, Boots, Jumpers and Leggings. So as part of my Fashion Friday Spring Trilogy series I thought I'd show you how you can take these items into summer.

First up I'll being doing Boots, however, these are the one item you can't really take into Summer, but you can keep the outfits you wear them with. How? I hear you ask, well just swap them for Sandals. Simples! (You all read that like the Meercat from the adverts right? Just Me?)

Coat: New Look
Jumper and Vest: H&M
Leggings: Topshop
Boots: New Look
Flip Flops: Rip Curl

Jumper: Topshop
Jeans: Primark
Boots: Primark
Shoes: Miss Selfridge

So they're just two simple outfits that I am taking from Winter into Summer with me. All by a change of shoes.

And here are some cute Sandals for your shopping pleasure.

Will you be doing this with your outfits?

Happy Friday :)

Fashion Friday

Been as though there have been about three consecutive days of sunshine, in the UK!!! I thought it only right that I dedicate today's Fashion Friday to the Summer dress! (Even though the sun is no-where to be seen today!)

I got this dress from New Look around this time last year, for around £11, put it in my Wardrobe, and forgot about it!!! So I fully intend to get some wear out of it this year.

Shoes- New Look

Cardigan - Ralph Lauren - It is my pride & joy - Got it in America for around £20!
Shoes- River Island

Blazer - H&M
Shoes - New Look

New Look/River Island/New Look

So these are three looks that I just put together, I think the last one would be great for a job interview or an occasion that warrants smarter attire and the second great for a BBQ or beer garden.

Have you seen any lovely spring dresses, I would love to have a look?

Happy Friday :)

What I Wore this Week

Another week down, another lot of outfits to show you. Again, not that much of an exciting week, I must try harder when I know I'm going to be posting photos of what I wear online. Anyway, here are the winners.

Monday:
Top: Asda at George
Jeans: Dorothy Perkins
Shoes: Topshop
I had a lecture Monday morning, then went into Town to do some shopping and get matched for some foundation. It was also the day I bought my first ever O.P.I nail polish, post to come.

Tuesday:
Top: H&M
Jeans: Primark
Cardigan: George at Asda
Shoes: Primark
Another lecture Tuesday morning, I then went back into town and got my foundation and some other goodies. I then spent the evening catching up on TV (it's a hard life.)

Wednesday:
Jumper: New Look
Vest: H&M
Leggings: Topshop
Shoes: Topshop
Wednesday I did work until my lecture at 5 (yes, stupid time) I then went home to watch my little brother play his trombone in a school concert, so cute.

Thursday:
Top: Miami (one of the best holidays ever)
Vest: H&M
Leggings: Topshop
Socks: Fat Face
I stayed in on Thursday and did some more work. I also waited all day for a delivery, that didn't even knock and just posted a note through the door, so annoying.

Friday:
Top: Topshop
Jeans: Primark
Blazer: H&M
Scarf: George at Asda
Shoes: H&M/Missguided
I had another lecture Friday so I had to drive back to uni for it, then had a nice quiet night in (like most nights) with a Chinese. Also my delivery finally came containing the most amazing shoes ever, which is why I swapped the ones I was wearing. Thank you Milk Bubble Tea for bringing them to my attention. Also if you have Look magazine this week, you can get 20% off, which I didn't realise till after I ordered!

Saturday:
Top: New Look
Skirt: F&F at Tesco
Leggings: Topshop
Cardigan: Topshop
Boots: New Look
I went to visit my Grandparents in the morning and then went to do the Asda shop with my mom in the afternoon. I also got ahead on myself on Blog posts, which I'm excited about.

Sunday:
Hoodie: Leavers Hoodie
Leggings: Topshop
Vest: H&M
Socks: Fat Face
Today is definitely a hoodie and leggings type of day. I've got to finish off a presentation I've got to deliver tomorrow (nervous isn't even the word.) I then want to schedule some more blog posts.

Shoes:

So anyway I must be off, presentation calls, joy! Hope you've all had great weeks.

Happy Sunday.
