University Series - What's in my bag?

So results are now in, everything is finally falling into place and I'm sure a sense of 'Oh my God' I'm going to uni is setting in. So I thought I'd do a little series about University but link it to my blog, such as make-up, hair etc. in the hope that a more superficial take on things would make it slightly less daunting. And hey, maybe someone will find it useful.

I thought I'd start off this series with what I carry with me in my uni bag.

The bag and scarf are both from Primark and I think cost about £10 all together, and it has lasted me two years so far, I'm super impressed. I think you need a bag that's big enough to fit your books in and is easy to carry too!

Essential Items

These are what I'd class as essential items for me:

- A Notepad - with a pen in it, so you always have a pen handy!

- Pencil Case - I keep mine in my bag, but it contains handy spares and little extras, just in case!

- Glasses - I'm short sighted, I need to see the board. Kind of imperative.

- Purse - I keep my uni card in here which monitors my attendane and gives me access to my uni. It's also handy to have a bit of cash for those drinks you need or little snacks.

- Phone - I never leave home without mine.

Extras

These aren't essential, but come in handy:

- Umbrella - I hate buses, especially full of teenagers, so when I lived out I walked to all my lectures, and in England, it usually rains.

Hairbrush - Windswept and interesting? Calm and collected!

Deodorant - Just in case, sometimes you don't have time to shower between a night out and 9am lecture, gross but true.

Dry Shampoo - See above.

Compeed - As I said, I used to walk to uni, around 35 mins each way, and sometimes new shoes and walking don't mix! Ask my bloodstained shoes if you don't believe me (TMI?)

Tissues - Runny noses in the middle of lectures is not good! Sniffing is also very irritating FYI!

Anti-bacterial Gel - This may just be the OCD freak in me, but some places contain grubby people!

Additional Extras

I keep these, along with my phone, in the little zip pocket of my bag:

Nail File - I HATE BROKEN NAILS.

Plaster - Ya never know.

Paracetomol - You've heard of hangovers, right?

Hair Bobbles - You don't need two sizes, but they sure come in handy!

Mints - So people will talk to you.

Vaseline - Dry lips, no thank you.

So that's the end of my first post, I hope you liked it. I've got one on hair and one on make-up coming up!

What is your must have uni bag item?

What I Wore this Week

Happy Sunday everyone, maybe not so happy, if like me you're going back to uni/school/work tomorrow and realise you spent way too much time on blogger/twitter/youtube, and have not done as much work as you should have. Or am I alone?

So sorry that I haven't got the time to tell you were everything is from, but if you want to know just leave me a comment and I'll get back to you (how cliche, but I will, promise!)

I also appear to spend a lot of time in my slippers, they're pretty awesome though, right?

So Monday consisted of uni work and a meal, Tuesday, uni work, Wednesday, uni work and meal with the home friends which was so nice, but ended up with me agreeing to go out on Friday night, hence the nice outfit for Friday. Thursday and today are more uni work days, and yesterday was a trying to stay awake, so watched Tanya, Fleur, Ingrid, Jim, Alison and Nikki (I sound like I know them, I don't, I just love their videos) in New York, making me jealous, I should've been doing work.

And that is how exciting my life is at the moment. To be honest, when I've finished all my uni work, my life won't be that exciting, but then I can enjoy doing nothing haha!

More attempt at nail art//Shopping Spree (I have a problem)// Present from the lovely Shen

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your Sunday :)

P.s I also feel the need to mention that over the last week I've gained a load of new followers, how, I don't know, but hello and thank you so much. I've also received some of the nicest comments which makes blogging even more fun and rewarding. So yeah, thank you :) (Mushyness over, I'm going back to do work, after reading a few posts obviously ;) )

Another lecture in the morning, followed by driving home. That was about as exciting my day got. Oh wait, I think I did some uni work too!

Thursday was a day filled with non-stop uni work only breaking to go fetch my little brother from school as he wasn't feeling well again.

Friday:

We always visit my nan's on a Saturday, so did that and then instead of doing uni work, I scheduled blog posts for the next three weeks, I really need to prioritise.

Sunday:
Jacket: George
Vest: Both New Look
Leggings: Topshop
Slippers: New Look

Today, apart from spending time with my mommy eating cake, I should be doing uni work, however it has just gone 12 and so far I have watched Youtube videos, and made a shopping list from Lisa Eldridge and Essiebutton's videos.

I thought I'd do another little photo collage, cause I like doing it, and it's my blog, and stops me doing uni work!

My little plant pot/Shopping Trip on Monday/Dropped my Sleek palette :(/Early bird for my cancelled lecture/Easter is a coming/Subway Lunch/Lovely Cake/Trying to make uni work fun!

P.s I feel the need to point out, that I own multiple Topshop leggings and H&M vests!

Sunday Summary

Ok, so I was going to do my What I Wore this week post, however, I went to put it together and realsied that I literally spent only two days not in leggings and a hoodie, which is so not interesting, trust me.

So instead I've decided to do a Sunday Summary post instead. Hopefully next week I will spend more than two days not stuck in doing uni work and have actual outfits for you.

Starting at the top left corner:
Uni Work, the two decent outfits I wore this week, still loving my cat shoes (I just realised the ears move, even more love,) my attempt at a high bun, my Breaking Dawn DVD arrived yesterday, some shoes I'm trying to break in, my little brother was ill on Friday (had to pick him up from school at 8.40 cause he'd been sick) so we ended up watching Friends all day, my new Ikea duvet and lamps I got on Monday, I decided on a centre part yesterday and finally my KFC with my mom and dad Friday night.

I hope this has been semi interesting. As I said, really haven't been up to much this week apart from uni and caring for my sickie brother (bless him, he's 11 and adorable! And better now thankfully.)

Hope you've all had great weeks.

Laura xoxo
