Review: Loreal Ever Riche Nourishing Intense Mask

Ah, the Loreal Ever Riche range, how it has made an appearance on many a blog. For a good reason I am pleased to say.

I love using this when my hair is feeling dry. It leaves my hair feeling extremely soft and smelling delicious.

The softness lasts numerous days and so does the smell. You only need a pea sized amount each use meaning it'll last a long time, and it's extremely powerful.

Have you tired this? What do you think?

Recipe: Christmas Cookies

This post is all about how to make these cute little Christmas cookies, which I was inspired by Pinterest to make.
Before you start, you need to dress festive:

My little brother for you!

The recipe is from Little Cook's Big Cookery Book, but you can make any gingerbread recipe you wish!

Add all the dry ingredients to the bowl and then add the butter.

Then proceed to make breadcrumbs.

Beat the egg in the a mug.

Warm a tablespoon so the golden syrup doesn't stick,

then add the two to the mixture.

Mix until you have a dough shape.

Add to a floured surface and begin to roll.

It's then time to cut the shapes, I used circles.

Then add to two greased baking trays.

Whilst they're cooking and cooling reward yourself with a little drink!

Then it's time to decorate.

This is where you should separate the red smarties, however THERE WERE NONE IN MY TUBE! I then had to resort to tootie fruties.

Mix some icing together, and decorate!

Will you be festive baking?

Friday Fact

Rest your elbow on something steady when doing liquid liner.

Resting your elbow helps you create a smoother and straighter line.

Happy Friday :)

Throwback Thursday: Ren Clear Calm Three Clay Cleanser

This isn't so much a forgotten item; however it's a repurchase so thought it warranted another rave on here.

This is my third tube of the stuff and I really like it. It's great at clearing up blemishes whilst also keeping them at bay.

It's also great at keeping oil at bay throughout the day.

Do you use this?

Quick Fix: Breakouts

When a breakout strikes it's easy to panic, however I have now devised a plan that I go to full of products I like to use when those pesky spots turn up.

Ren Clear Calm 3 Clay Cleanser: This is the perfect cleanser if you're breaking out. The clay in the cleanser is really good at dragging out the impurities and it really is clarifying and calming so breakouts are reduced after use.

Ren Clarifying Toning Lotion: An exfoliating toner is much better than a manual one when it comes to tackling breakouts. It stops breakouts from spreading and skin from breaking, a chemical exfoliater is much better  at reducing spot sizes and clearing up the skin.

Avene Cleanance K - This is probably the best product in this collection as I know this is definitely going to work. The glycolactic acid in it is great at clearing up spots, but the gel also has hydrating properties to it also.

Ren F10 Smooth and Renew Mask: A much lighter version than the glycolactic mask, this is great for clearing up scars and making the skin look more radiant.

Origins Make A Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment: I like to use this every am and pm under moisturiser, as I know it's great at preventing breakouts as well as reducing any that may appear.

What do you use on breakouts?

Review: Maybelline Master Kajal

This was a see it at the till and get it kind of purchase as it looked interesting and I fancied a new liner. The guy at the didn't scan it at first and I ended up telling, cause I'm a nice person, so I thought I'd get some good karma from it. I then get home, photograph it, take the lid off...and this happens.

The end broke off!

So why am I still posting a review? Well first of all it's to warn you that the end can fall off easily. Secondly it does seem like quite a good idea.

I tried to put it on my eye but I really had messed it up too much. However if you feel that full liquid liner doesn't suit you, this may be a good alternative!

Have you tried this?

What do you think?

Review: Book - You Don't Have to Say You Love Me

This book is probably my all time favourite. It follows a woman called Neve trying to get to grips with a new, smaller body and the perils of dating.

Sarra Manning writes in a way that makes you fall in love with each character, even the evil(ish) ones.

Whilst it is a love story it is a lot more than falling in and out of love. It tackles every aspect of life, and does so in a realistic and tasteful way.

Friday Fact

Smile's are contagious.

Corny as it seems smile's really are contagious! Try smiling at someone you pass on the street and see if they smile too. I bet they do, unless they're really grumpy that is!

Happy Friday!

Throwback Thursday: Rimmel Scandaleyes in Rich Russet

This paint has definitely been making the rounds on blogs, even I have posted about it before.

I've recently re-discovered it due to its awesome quick and easy application.

The colour is a really nice taupe-y shade and depending on how much you apply can be intensified and blended out depending on how you want it.

I personally like to apply a thick layer then blend out the edges with a brush.

Have you tried this?

FOTD: Fast Face

As I've stopped wearing make-up to work a couple of weeks ago I went out after and ended up using a few 'quick' products to make me more presentable.

For a base I used my Dior BB Cream as it's good coverage and easy to blend. For cheeks and lips I used by trusty NARS Multiple in Portofino. For eyes, I used the Rimmel Scandaleyes in Rich Russest as it gives lovely definition to the lids.

What are your fast face products?

Review: Living Proof amp2

I picked this little guy up in London back in the summer. I've heard great reviews about this product and as volume is something I long for in my hair.

This product is great for adding volume for your roots and is really simply to use.

Add a pea size amount into your palm and then add it to the underneath of your roots. Afterwards volumized hair shall be yours.

Have you tried this? What do you think?
